About

Come on in and shield your eyes, it’s about to get green. Really GREEN!

At this site I hope to enlighten the small part of the world that I call home about what they can do to help the environment. Going green doesn’t come with a handbook, and it doesn’t just mean you’re recycling or reducing waste. Going green is about making decisions that improve our world for future generations.

I hope to present here, not only what you can do to “go green” but also some evidence for why you should do it (after all, isn’t that what students of science do?). If it’s Geeky Green, it’ll be here.

Enact some of these ideas for yourself if possible. Spread the evidence to your friends and neighbors. And remember this quote by a US admiral; it will be my motto:

Good ideas are not adopted automatically. They must be driven into practice with courageous patience.
Hyman Rickover (1900-1986)
