I’ve got plenty of them, but generally very little time to execute them. So I’d like to hear from you. Here are some ideas from my unfocused mind for series that I would like to apply to this blog. I also have some random thoughts for the day.
Let me know if one strikes your fancy:
- New green purchases: This theme generally follows the Green Products I Live By idea, but with products that I just bought, rather than products that I’ve been using for a while
- The Clean Green Home: It is my greatest wish to have a home free of a carbon footprint – or with one that is much smaller than I live in. And by this I mean green from start to finish. Construction, energy alternatives, and all. That’s what this series would entail. Maybe more aptly named My Green Dream Life.
There are more ideas bouncing around, but none that I can conceptualize just yet. Let me know which of these ideas you;d most prefer to hear about. Heck, suggest some of your own.
A few more thoughts for today…
- Part of living green is about educating the general public about what it means to live green and why they should care. I am amazed and saddened at how much Americans lack any kind of environmental compassion. And it boils down to a complete lack of education. Most people simply don’t understand the resources it takes to make their latte or to bottle their water. If you’re reading this blog, then I’m assuming you care. I’m asking you to educate yourself and pass along that education. Educating just one person makes a difference.
- I have a new goal in life. To own a Zero-Emissions Vehicle (ZEV; a.k.a electric cars). When I mention ZEVs, you may envision an Urkel-mobile (click here for a quick clip if you’re not familiar with Family Matters). But if this were the state of electric cars, I wouldn’t consider it. No, I’m talking about a Phoenix Motorcars SUT or SUV. With endorsements from the likes of Ed Begley, Jr., the company can apparently do no wrong. I intend to do more research (the vehicles aren’t due for release until early 2009). With a price tag of $50,000 this is not a purchase to make lightly. I have more to say on the subject, but that’s for a future post.
Looking forward to your feedback. Until then…
Green on!
Steven
